A student at Sheboygan North High School is hosting her very own fundraising event next month.
Aoife Meyer, one of five students in North’s Innovator Fellowship Program, has created Foster Focus, an entity striving to raise awareness of the experiences of youth in out-of-home care in Sheboygan County.
As part of her Innovator Fellowship Program project, Meyer is also dedicated to establishing a scholarship program “for children who have been in, or are currently in out-of-home care and aspire to pursue higher education.”
With that in mind, she has organized the Foster Focus Father’s Day Corn Hole Tournament, which will be held June 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 3 Sheeps Brewing in Sheboygan.
In addition to the tournament, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle will also be held.
All proceeds raised at the corn hole tournament will directly fund the Foster Focus scholarship program that Meyer has created.
