A Manitowoc man has once again been arrested for drunk driving.
An officer was on patrol just after midnight this morning (May 2nd) in downtown Manitowoc when they saw a vehicle driving too fast.
The truck was said to be traveling at around 40 MPH in the 25 MPH zone, and as the officer caught up to the vehicle, it swerved several times, once crossing the centerline by roughly a tire’s width.
A traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 block of South 10th Street, where the officer noticed several signs of impairment, including slurred speech and the smell of alcohol on the 38-year-old man’s breath.
The man admitted to having a couple of drinks prior, and the officer noticed an empty beer bottle in the back seat.
A field sobriety test was administered, during which the driver exhibited several signs of impairment, so he was arrested for his 4th OWI.
