Kohl’s is making a leadership change after a misconduct investigation led to the dismissal of CEO Ashley Buchanan.
The former Michaels executive, who stepped into the role in January to help revive the retailer, was found to have breached company policies.
An independent probe concluded Buchanan directed the company to engage in vendor deals that involved undisclosed conflicts of interest.
Board Chair Michael Bender will serve as interim CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement.
