A hospital in Green Bay has once again received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group.
Emplify Health by Bellin Green Bay Hospital, formerly known as Bellin Memorial Hospital, is celebrating its 14th consecutive “A” grade, which is the highest safety grade given by the Leapfrog Group.
The organization uses over 30 categories to make their grades, including errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
Chris Woleske, Emplify Health Executive Vice President and Bellin Region President says safety is their top priority, and earning 14 consecutive “A” grades wouldn’t be possible “without the incredible commitment of our providers, staff and volunteers who do all they can to continue making Bellin the best place to find exceptional care.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections, and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States.
This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public.
Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
