Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County will focus its education series on a critical and often overlooked topic next week.
Safe Harbor’s Behind Closed Doors series will discuss the realities of elder abuse on Tuesday (May 6th) and Thursday (May 8th) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day.
The first session will be held at Generations Intergenerational Center in Plymouth, while the second session will take place at the Mead Public Library in Downtown Sheboygan.
Elder Abuse can take many forms including physical, emotional, and financial, and is often one of the most overlooked forms of abuse.
These informative events aim to raise awareness, educate the community, and empower attendees to recognize the signs of elder abuse and take action.
Both sessions of the Behind Closed Doors series next week are free to attend and will have free refreshments on hand as well.
Any concerned community members, caregivers, or health professionals are encouraged to attend to learn more.
To RSVP for either session, visit the Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County Facebook page.
