A new dock system will be installed at the Manitowoc Marina.
The Chamber of Manitowoc County announced that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new dock system next Friday, May 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at the marina on Maritime Drive.
The new dock is designed to serve the boating community better, with larger slips and full ADA accessibility.
The Chamber continues, saying the addition enhances the marina’s commitment to supporting tourism and recreational boating and its role as a strong presence in the lakeshore community.
The replacement comes from the city’s grant money.
Mayor Justin Nickels explained previously that the old dock was built 40 years ago, and the update will allow for bigger boats and better access to the water.
