The winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition for Wisconsin’s Sixth District is from Winneconne.
Congressman Glenn Grothman announced that Lila Newton won the annual event during a reception he hosted.
Veda Jecevicus was also given the “Peoples Choice Award” as her artwork received the most likes from the public.
Grothman thanked those who voted for the people’s choice and also thanked the students who participated in this year’s contest, as the sixth district is home to “some truly talented artists.”
