Another power outage in Manitowoc was due to an animal in the transmission breakers.
Manitowoc Public Utilities announced that they were made aware of the outage around 11:20 Tuesday night (April 29th)due to a transmission issue.
The community power company later determined that a raccoon got into the substation and caused the transmission breakers to open.
MPU thanked customers for their patience as they worked to restore the power by about 12:50 am.
If a resident still doesn’t have power, they can call MPU at 920-683-4622.
The public utility didn’t say how many homes were affected by the power outage or what area of the city it took place in.
