Exercise science students at Lakeland University have been honored for their research work.
The University has announced that senior Paige Olsen of Kingsford, Michigan, and junior Katelyn Kitsembel from Lake Mills, Wisconsin, have been named the recipients of the Roozen ’66 Undergraduate Research Award.
This award is handed out annually for the best original scientific research presented at Lakeland’s Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Symposium which was held earlier this month.
The university has said, “The students used ultrasonography to investigate the size and quality of the lower extremity muscles and the Achilles tendon and their potential relationships with jump performance in the Lakeland University volleyball teams.”
Upon winning the Roozen Award, the duo has been awarded $2,000 which they will split.
