Construction began Monday on a pair of senior living facilities in Mishicot.
Woodland Properties LLC broke ground on Sycamore Lodge Senior Living and Woodland Residences at 275 South State Street, which are expected to be completed by this coming fall.
Sycamore Lodge, which is an assisted living organization, currently has three facilities in Northeast Wisconsin, specifically in Algoma, Luxemburg, and Kiel.
The facility will provide a home-like environment, accommodating 20 residents in private rooms who are of advanced age or require additional living assistance.
Woodland Residences will feature rentable duplexes for seniors who are independent and do not require staff services.
Village President Bernie Samz voiced his appreciation to Megan Shevy, the President of Sycamore Lodge Senior Living and Woodland Residences, thanking her and her team “for their investment into the Village of Mishicot,” calling it “a project that represents the community.”
PortSide Builders out of Sturgeon Bay has been selected as the general contractor.
