A road in Plymouth will close for an extended period of time as work is done to extend the Old Plank Road Trail.
The City has shared that the southbound lane of County Road E is now closed from Highway 23 to Douglas Road to extend the trail.
This closure of County Road E is estimated to last until sometime in August.
An additional 0.2-mile segment of the project will run along the Mullet River beginning at Fredrick Street, crossing the river, and continuing until South Milwaukee Street, with construction on this portion scheduled to begin in June.
However, no road closures are expected for this segment while work is done to extend the Old Plank Road Trail.
This trail extension program is federally funded, and the City of Plymouth has stated they will share construction and closure updates when they become available.
