As spring rolls on, road construction in Sheboygan County continues to ramp up.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has shared numerous projects, improvements, and closures scheduled for this week.
The State Highway 28 resurfacing project is set to continue, including in Cascade.
Beginning today (April 29th), Highway 28 will be closed as crews prepare to demolish and conduct a bridge replacement in the area.
During this closure, motorists will be detoured onto County Road A and State Highway 57.
Other work in Sheboygan County this week will include Interstate 43 and State Highway 23.
I-43 will have crews replacing a beam guard on the southbound lane at County Line Road until Thursday (May 1st).
Maintenance crews will also conduct pavement repairs on both the north and southbound lanes on the interstate between State Highway 28 and the south county line.
Pavement repairs will also be done on 23 between County Road P and State Highway 57.
All three projects will have crews working from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until Thursday, when all work on 23, and 43 is expected to be completed.
These projects will also use moving lane closures to allow maintenance crews to work.
