
The Brillion High School boys golf team was the top performing squad in EWC Mini-Tour Meet #3.
The Lions boasted a 6-stroke lead over runner-up and the three-time defending conference champions, Sheboygan Falls, while Roncalli was 7 strokes back to come in 3rd.
The Kiel squad was 4th, followed by Chilton/Hilbert, New Holstein, Two Rivers, and Valders.
This win was the first for Brillion since joining the EWC in 2016.
Evan Grasse, representing the Chilton/Hilbert co-op, was the top individual performer, scoring a 39.
This was two strokes better than runner-up Brayden Hofmeyer of Roncalli. Brillion’s Ethan Fischer was 3rd after carding a 42, while Sam Bast of Sheboygan Falls recorded a 43, good for 4th.
Rounding out the top five were Brady Ramminger of Kiel and Parker Spierings of Brillion, each of home recording a 44.
Valders’ top golfer was Zane Bergene, whose 46 was good for a tie for 8th, while Kyle Lisowe and Jacob Schneider each carded 50 for New Holstein, good for a tie for 21st place.
Two Rivers’s top finisher was Gavin Kadow, whose 41 was good for 24th place.
The teams return to Autumn Ridge next week on Tuesday (May 6th) as New Holstein and Valders each host 9-hole tour meets.
