A Manitowoc County American Legion post is doing its part to raise money for veterans.
American Legion Post 477 will be hosting the Tee It Up Fore the Troops Golf Outing at Autumn Ridge Golf Course on May 15th, a fundraising effort for Old Glory Honor Flight.
Opening ceremonies at the outing will be held at 7:45 a.m., with the golf and other festivities to follow.
While all slots for golfing are filled, the American Legion is still inviting the public to attend and participate in bucket and 50/50 raffles, along with a chipping and putting challenge with prizes on the line.
A UTV raffle will also be held, with a winner to be announced later on June 21st.
All proceeds raised during the event will directly benefit Old Glory Honor Flight, which flies WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans to their respective memorials.
This golf outing is just one in a long line of similar outings held by American Legion posts across the country to raise money for veterans.
