A Manitowoc healthcare group is being recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services for making sure children get their immediate vaccines once they’re born.
The Wisconsin BigShot awards were given out to 90 healthcare providers across the state who’ve had 90% or more of their patients vaccinated for babies who are 24-36 months old.
Prevea Manitowoc Health Center falls in the Routine Childhood Vaccine category, while other healthcare clinics fall into the one MMR dose by 24 months category.
They include Bellin Health Luxemburg, Aurora Health Care of Kaukauna, and Ascension Little Chute.
The Department of Health Services says there are more, but not all healthcare groups decided to have their names published.
