A Manitowoc teen charged with child abuse allegedly broke his bond conditions over the weekend.
A Manitowoc Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Grand Avenue just after 8:30 Sunday night (April 27th) after seeing a vehicle with a defective headlight and no front license plate.
17-year-old Jhonathen J. Lee was behind the wheel, and asked the officer not to take him to jail. Lee then admitted he was out on bail, with a condition that he not operate any motor vehicle.
The officer noted the smell of marijuana, which was later located in the vehicle during a search.
Lee was arrested at the end of March for allegedly attacking a teenage girl when she refused to have sex with him.
He also has open cases for Operating without a Valid License, Battery, and Possession of THC with Intent to Sell.
He was taken into custody on charges of Possession of THC, and two counts each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
