All week long, Emplify Health has been honoring the unsung heroes in healthcare, the volunteers.
This week has been National Volunteer Week, and Emplify has spent the time highlighting its longstanding history with volunteer programs.
Last year, over 700 active volunteers put in an estimated 55,000 hours of service at Bellin and Gunderson Health locations around Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Eileen Witinger, the Volunteer Services Manager for Emplify, noted that their non-paid help help in a variety of ways.
“Whether it’s greeting visitors, assisting patients as they navigate to appointments, or working behind the scenes, there are many ways to make a positive impact,” she noted.
