Wisconsin Public Service has opened up voting for this year’s generation of peregrine falcons.
For more than 30 years, WPS has been working to restore the peregrine falcon population in Wisconsin.
This year, the organization is paying tribute to the “founder feathers” who kicked off the program.
The 20 names on the list represent the 20 falcons responsible for parenting nearly 300 falcon chicks over the three decades.
The public is encouraged to learn more about these falcons, and to vote on their favorite name at SurveyMonkey.com/r/SquawkTheVote for the next generation of falcons, which will hatch this year.
The names with the most votes will be given to the falcon chicks that hatch at Wisconsin Public WPS and We Energies power plants this spring.
