The Town of Ripon is launching a fund to help small businesses cover start-ups.
The town received a $240,000 Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Small Business Development Grant to help.
The WEDC explained that Ripon will collaborate with other communities like Waupun, North Fond du Lac, and Campbellsport to provide financial and technical support to help businesses with 25 or fewer employees start, grow, expand, and/or create jobs.
Ripon City Administrator Adam Sonntag explained that he would be thrilled if they could help a couple of startups.
The WEDC also highlighted the town’s work to upgrade public spaces and attract new businesses to come to town.
