
Kiran Sanford threw her fourth no-hitter of the season Thursday as the Mishicot Indians defeated Hilbert by a score of 14 to 0 in a game that was called after five innings.
They gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about as the Indians scored ten runs in the first two innings and added three in the third and one more in the fourth to back the strong pitching of Sanford.
She faced the minimum of 15 batters, allowing just two base runners on walks and striking out 13.
Emma Schmidt knocked in four runs, Sanford helped her own cause at the plate with three hits and two runs scored, Kaelin Adair went three-for-four with two runs batted in and two runs scored, Kasey Brouchoud also had a three-hit day, while Sierra Skarda and Cooper Brouchoud added two hits apiece as the Indians had 17 hits on the day.
They remain tied with Reedsville atop the Big East North at 4 and 0 and are 8 and 2 overall.
Mishicot returns to action Monday afternoon as they host St. Mary Catholic at 4:30 p.m.
