While the 2026 Congressional Election is more than a year away, a candidate is already looking to run against Congressman Glenn Grothman.
Earlier this month, Aaron “WOJO” Wojciechowski, a Democrat from Oshkosh, announced his candidacy for Wisconsin’s Sixth Congressional District.
He says he wants to “bring a fresh, accountable voice to Washington and is committed to addressing the district’s most pressing issues- healthcare, jobs, farming, and infrastructure.”
He continues, “Grothman pledged to serve only 10 years, but he’s running for a 7th term, breaking his word to the people of the sixth district.”
Some of his campaign platforms include not buying stocks in Congress, not taking money from PACs, and hosting monthly town halls.
According to Wojciechowski, his campaign will kick off in Oshkosh at the end of May.
He is a former member of the Oshkosh City Council.
He is also a graduate of UW-Oshkosh and is studying at Lawrence University.
