The Kiel Fire and Rescue Department wants to do more to help train first responders.
The department has launched a new capital campaign to raise $55,000 to construct a training tower.
It would offer a realistic environment where firefighters can simulate real-life emergencies and practice life-saving techniques in a safe, controlled setting.
The Kiel Fire Department says the construction of this facility will allow for an enhanced training program that helps to improve the safety and effectiveness of Kiel’s emergency responders.
In addition, the tower would play an important role in preparing the next generation of firefighters, ensuring they have access to training resources and are ready to meet the demands of modern-day emergencies.
The campaign is already off to a great start after the Ant Hill Mob made a $23,000 donation.
However, the Kiel Fire Department seeks businesses, individuals, and organizations to contribute.
