Two local breweries have teamed up for a special NFL Draft-inspired ale.
Sheboygan’s 3 Sheeps Brewing and Badger State Brewery of Green Bay have joined forces to release Mr. Irrelevant, an homage to the name given to the final player picked in the NFL Draft.
Grant Pauly, the founder and brewmaster of 3 Sheeps, spoke to SeehaferNews.com about how this collaboration came to be.
He explained, “We’re good friends with the crew at Badger State Brewery up in Green Bay and we’ve talked to them for a long time about doing a collab. We realized, ‘What are we waiting for, this is the time’”
Pauly also took the time to explain what kind of brew this new draft-themed beer is.
He said, “We have a beer called Mr. Irrelevant, which is the last pick in the draft. It’s just a nice West Coast style pilsner so very easy-drinking with a lot of great flavor to it.”
Mr. Irrelevant is a light-colored, crisp West Coast pilsner intended for easy drinking while enjoying the festivities of the NFL Draft.
The beer was officially released yesterday (April 24th) in conjunction with day one of the draft.
At this time, Mr. Irrelevant is only available on tap at the Badger State Brewery taproom in Green Bay and the 3 Sheeps taproom in Sheboygan.
Four-packs of 16-ounce cans will also be available for purchase for a limited time at both locations as well.
