Two student athletes from Sheboygan County have been honored for their athletic and academic achievements.
Addy Schliewe of Sheboygan Falls and Ryan Lang of Sheboygan North have been named as two of the 32 WIAA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients for 2025.
In her time as a member of the Falcons girls basketball team, Schliewe was a dominant player in the EWC being named first-team all-conference her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons.
This past season, she averaged 18 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 2.1 BPG powering Sheboygan Falls to back-to-back EWC championships.
Lang, a multi-sport athlete for the Golden Raiders, was a four-time FRCC all-conference selection in cross country and a three-time sectional champion in track and field.
He is also an accomplished member of the Noth swim team, swimming in the 200-yard medley relay at the state competition where he and his team set a school record.
Lang bolstered a 4.0 GPA this school year at Sheboygan North while Schliewe earned a 3.97 GPA at Sheboygan Falls.
This year, 806 seniors were nominated for these awards which honor four male and four female student athletes in each of the four WIAA divisions.
