The NFL Draft is drawing an immense number of fans from all over the country to Titletown, USA.
Supporters of every team are on hand to experience the ambiance of Lambeau Field and witness the first steps some of these players may take to a Hall of Fame career.
The Tennessee Titans will have the first overall pick, and a fan wanted to make sure he was there to see it, as he called it “an era change.”
He calls himself “Mr. First Down,” and Green Bay is stop two on a three-year draft tour for him. He tells Seehafernews.com,
“My wife’s cousin is a big Colts fan, and I’m a big Titans fan, and we just wanted something that we like to do,” he explained. “We just decided, ‘Let’s start going to these. Save up all year and start going to them.’ This is year two in a row, and we will decide where we are going to stay next year.”
Mr. First Down also commented on the similarities in personalities of Wisconsinites and those from the South.
“Everybody has been like, ‘Hey! How you doin’?’ Made me feel right at home,” he said with a smile. “You have Midwest hospitality; we have Southern hospitality. Nice people are the best people. That’s what I say.”
Draft night coverage will be aired on 1240 WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com, featuring the voice of the Green Bay Packers, Wayne Larrivee, Bill Schmid from Parkers OT, and Doug Russell, starting at 6:00 tonight.
SeehaferNews.com will also be on hand all three days.
