To the surprise of very few, the 2025 NFL began with a hurricane.
With the 1st overall pick, in front of a packed Lambeau Field parking lot, the Tennessee Titans selected Cam Ward from the University of Miami.
In his one year in the Sunshine State, Ward lit up the stat sheet with 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns, while only throwing seven interceptions.
The pick puts an end to the Will Levis experiment in Nashville, after the 2nd year QB threw for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell opened the draft by praising Green Bay calling it “Small but mighty,” before welcoming Packer greats Clay Mathews Jordy Nelson, Mason Crosby, Ahman Green, and James Jones, along with super fan Lil Wayne.
Matthews got a roaring applause when he told the crow “The Bears still suck!”
Draft night coverage can be heard on 1240 WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com with the voice of the Green Bay Packers, Wayne Larrivee, Bill Schmid from Parkers OT, and Doug Russel.
