A local financial institution has unveiled the winners of their annual scholarship program.
UnitedOne Credit Union has announced Jasmine Chang, Meredith Putman, and Shanthani Kue as the recipients of this year’s $1,000 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year.
Chang, a senior at Sheboygan North High School, plans to attend Lakeshore College, where she will study to become a dental hygienist. Roncalli High School Senior Putman will be attending Marian University this fall, pursuing a degree in early childhood education.
Kue, the lone non-high school student to receive a scholarship, resides in Manitowoc while attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, pursuing a career in nursing.
Each year, UnitedOne Credit Union awards three $1,000 scholarships to two students in high school, one from Manitowoc County and one from Sheboygan County.
The third scholarship is traditionally awarded to a college student from the area who is pursuing higher education.
Chang, Putman, and Kue were chosen by an independent panel that judged applicants based on a written essay.
