Biology students at Sheboygan South High School are set to hold their annual plant sale.
The 2025 South High Plant Biology Plant Sale, Bake Sale, and Brat Fry will take place on Saturday (April 26th) from noon to 3:00 p.m. in rooms 179 and 157 and the school’s greenhouse.
Every plant up for sale this weekend was grown by a Sheboygan South plant biology student and prices will range from $1 to $25.
All proceeds raised from the plant sale, bake sale, and brat fry will directly fund the purchase of materials such as containers, seeds, soil, seeds, and tools as well as educational opportunities such as field trips for plant biology students.
Vegetables for sale on Saturday will include tomatoes, peppers, and various herbs. There will also be numerous annuals available, such as geranium, petunia, Mexican sunflower, marigold, and many more.
Houseplants grown by students that are up for sale include spider plant, Cuban/Spanish oregano, and Jade, amongst others.
In addition to plants for sale, garden art and pottery created by South art students will also be sold at the event.
The annual plant sale is the main source of funding for students in the plant biology program at South High School.
