
Several local and area girls’ softball teams are ranked among the best in the state.
The Mishicot Indians remain atop Division Four in this week’s Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association WisSports.net girls softball poll released Tuesday afternoon.
The Indians are 7 and 2 on the season and are tied with Reedsville for first place in the Big East North.
Mishicot hasn’t played since April 15th, when they defeated Hilbert, and will host the Wolves Thursday afternoon.
Sevastopol, St. Mary’s Springs of Fond Du Lac, and Random Lake are ranked seventh through ninth, respectively.
The undefeated Brillion Lions debut in Division Three at number eight.
They are 8 and 0, heading into a showdown with 7 and 1 Two Rivers Wednesday at Citizens Park in Manitowoc.
The Raiders are 4 and 0 in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, one-half game clear of the Lions. Laconia is ranked seventh.
Kewaskum jumps up three places from ninth to sixth in Division Two, Luxemburg-Casco is seventh, and Waupun is ninth.
The Division One poll has undefeated Kaukauna first, Green Bay Preble is fourth, Ashwaubenon sixth, and Neenah is tenth, while Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy is up from ninth to eighth in Division Five.
