
There are two meetings on the calendar for today (April 22nd) in the City of Manitowoc.
Up first is the Zoning Board of Appeals, which will be in the First Floor Hearing Room in City Hall at 5:00 p.m.
They will review an appeal submitted by the agent for Kohler Credit Union which asks for a variance to the section of the Municipal Code related to signage.
The financial institution is looking to be allowed to modify a nonconforming pylon sign and the electronic message display area.
Then, at 5:00 p.m., the Common Council will be in the Council Chambers for their reorganizational session.
The newly elected and re-elected alders will take their oaths of office and an alder will be selected to be the Council President.
Mayor Justin Nickels will also be sworn in for his fifth term as Mayor, before which, Pastor Matt Zimpelmann will give an invocation, and those in attendance will hear the National Anthem performed by the Clipper City Chordsmen, and an American Medley performed by the Brass Quintet of the Manitowoc Marine Band.
