The Mishicot High School Gym teacher facing charges of child sexual assault will have a preliminary hearing.
Court records show that 37-year-old Ryan Schroeder made his first appearance in Manitowoc County Court and waived the reading of the criminal complaint, requesting a preliminary hearing instead.
Judge Mark Roher scheduled the hearing for May 1st.
According to WBAY, a criminal complaint accuses Schroeder of having sexual contact with two victims, including having sex with a juvenile girl when she was 14 and 16 years old.
That allegedly happened over 50 times and at least 10 times at Mishicot High School.
Prosectors also allege that over 60 files were found on his Snapchat account that were sexually explicit.
The criminal complaint also alleges that Schroeder exchanged nude photos with a second victim.
Schroeder faces 16 charges including repeated sexual assault of the same child, 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, 10 counts of possession of child pornography, and sexual assault by a school staff member.
