Charges are now official for a Manitowoc man accused of fleeing from and wrestling with police.
Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bond for 29-year-old Michael J. Gilson at $500 cash on charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Resisting an Officer Resulting in Soft Tissue Damage, and Possession of Cocaine.
That bond has since been posted.
An officer attempted to pull Gillison over after seeing him speeding near downtown Manitowoc, but he continued to drive despite the emergency lights being activated.
Gillison eventually stopped, but exited the car, demanding to know what he did wrong.
This led to a scuffle with police, which went to the ground, resulting in an injury to an officer.
Gillison was also tasered twice during the arrest.
Gillison is due for his initial appearance on April 28th.
