The Wisconsin DNR is reminding the public about attending meetings to share feedback on local deer management ahead of the 2025 hunting season.
Each county has a County Deer Advisory Council that meets annually to provide input and recommendations to the DNR on local deer management based on metrics.
A meeting of Manitowoc County’s Deer Advisory Council takes place tonight (April 21st) at the Woodland Dunes Nature Center in Two Rivers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Recommendations will be made at the meetings and given to the DNR before they are relayed to the Natural Resources Board to be reviewed in June.
Other advisory meetings happening tonight include Kewaunee County at the Highway Department Meeting Room beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Sheboygan and Calumet County meetings will happen this Wednesday (April 23rd).
Calumet County hunters can go to the Hilbert Community Center with the meeting starting at 7:00 p.m.
Sheboygan County’s meeting takes place at Camp Y-Koda in Sheboygan Falls beginning at 6:30 pm.
