There’s another demonstration happening this weekend, hosted by Progressive Lakeshore People.
It will take place at Washington Park in Manitowoc tomorrow (April 19th) from 12:00 pm to 1:30 p.m.
They ask people attending to bring a non-perishable breakfast food item to help replenish a local food pantry.
This includes cereal, oatmeal, jelly, pancake mix, and syrup, among others.
The event is scheduled to feature singing, chants, and short talks from local community leaders, including Pastor Matt Sauer, about those most impacted by what the group calls “cuts in funds and services.”
Progressive Lakeshore People also hosted the “Hands Off” Rally in front of the courthouse in Manitowoc in response to actions taken by Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency Senior Advisor Elon Musk.
