A Mishicot High School Gym Teacher appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon for a bail hearing to answer to multiple child sexual assault charges.
Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail for Ryan Scott Schroeder of Francis Creek at $150,000 cash which remains unfurnished at this time.
Schroeder is charged with Second-degree sexual assault of a child, repeated sexual assault of the same child, sexual assault of a child by school staff, 10 counts of child pornography and child enticement.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office began its investigation following numerous reports of alleged inappropriate behavior involving students.
Evidence obtained in cooperation with The Mishicot Police Department and Mishicot High School led to Schroeder’s arrest on Wednesday (April 16th).
The conditions of bail are that Schroeder is to have “no contact” with the victims, anyone under the age of 18, or with students or staff at Mishicot High School, and he is not to possess any internet-enabled device.
Schroeder’s initial appearance is scheduled for April 21st at 1:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, law enforcement is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify any additional victims or witnesses who might want to come forward.
