The Mishicot baseball team kept it close against Shiocton on Thursday (April 17th), but a big 6th inning proved too much for the Indians, and they lost 8-2.
The Chiefs opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the 1st inning, and that remained the score until Mishicot cut the lead in half in the 5th.
Shiocton would respond with a 5-spot in the 6th, which was too much for Mishicot to overcome. Jax Vogel had two hits on the day, one of which went for a double and was the only extra-base hit on the day for the Indians.
Quinn Sand, Seth Rauber, and Eli Skarda accounted for Mishicot’s only other 3 hits on the day, with Skarda’s bringing home a run.
The loss drops Mishicot to 3-5 on the season, but they are 1-0 in Big East North play.
They will be back in action today as they travel to Two Rivers for a 4:30 first pitch.
