Authorities in Milwaukee are investigating a fatal incident after a body was found in a burning car early Monday.
Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire near 23rd and Clarke Street and discovered a deceased person inside while extinguishing the flames.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner confirmed the individual had been shot.
Police later revealed the car had been reported stolen over the weekend from the area of 40th and Auer Avenue.
The investigation remains ongoing.
