A Fond du Lac County K9 is to thank for an arrest made last month.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has shared that in March, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 151 near Waupun for a speed violation.
During the stop, K9 Rip was deployed on suspicion of illegal drug activity.
During Rip’s sniff, he positively alerted the deputy to the presence of illegal narcotics.
The vehicle was subsequently searched, and approximately 226 grams of Methamphetamine were uncovered.
The driver, a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man, was placed under arrest and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
The 30-year-old received a $7,500 cash bond at his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court, which he has since posted.
