The Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors is getting ready to borrow money for road construction.
The board on Tuesday (April 15th) voted to issue general promissory notes that won’t exceed $2.5 million.
County Finance Committee Chair “Biff” Hansen explains that there is no fiscal impact right now until the county board adopts a resolution of sale for the notes.
However, he also told the board that construction rates are high around the area due to a lot of factors, so the county might have to search elsewhere.
The county’s 2025 budget has $3.25 million set aside for road projects.
