Numerous local organizations will be participating in National Drug Take Back Day next week.
National Drug Take Back Day will be recognized on April 26th, and Manitowoc and Sheboygan County will offer multiple locations for residents to dispose of their unwanted medications.
In Manitowoc County, drop boxes will be located at the Kiel Community Center as well as Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital.
There will be four spots to dispose of drugs in Sheboygan County, including Generations in Plymouth, the Random Lake Fire Department, St. Nicholas Hospital, and the Sheboygan Falls Police/Fire Department.
Items such as expired or unused creams, inhalers, pills, and non-aerosol sprays will be accepted.
Items not to be accepted will include illegal drugs, mercury thermometers, sharps or syringes, and iodine-containing medications, among others.
