Over $100 million in funding to improve the state’s roads has been announced, including Sheboygan County municipalities.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin DOT have awarded $108 million for General Transportation, Connecting Highway, and Expressway Policing Aids.
Amongst those recipients is the City of Sheboygan, which received over $640,000, Sheboygan Falls awarded $123,000, and Plymouth, receiving just over $114,000.
Several other municipalities in the county have received more than $10,000 in funding, including Kohler, Oostburg, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake, and many more.
On the funding, Gov. Evers said, “Fixing our roads and bridges must continue to be a top priority for our state, it’s why my budget plan makes the investments we need to continue our work building the 21st-century infrastructure Wisconsinites need and deserve.”
