
The Mishicot Indians softball team extended their winning streak to six straight Tuesday with a 15 -0 four-inning victory over Hilbert in a Big East-North Division game in Hilbert.
Senior Kiran Sanford continues to impress. She threw her third no-hitter and second perfect game of the season, facing the minimum of 12 batters.
Sanford walked none and struck out 10 of the 12 batters she faced, and of the 54 pitches she threw, 37 were for strikes.
Offensively, senior Kaelin Adair went 4 for 4 with a home run, double, three runs batted in, and two runs scored; junior Sydney Bohman went two for two at the plate with two runs batted in and three runs scored.
Junior Sierra Skarda had two hits and three runs batted in, while freshman Cooper Brouchoud, Sanford, and junior Eva Boness all chipped in two hits apiece as the Indians had 13 hits total on the day.
Mishicot improves to 3- 0 in the Big East North, tied with Reedsville, and 7- 2 overall.
They are off until next Thursday, April 24th, when they host Hilbert at 5 p.m.
