The man who fled from police and caused an injury is free on bond.
18-year-old Adrian J. Kelly was given a $2,000 cash bond by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer as a Vehicle Operator and Resisting an Officer Causing a Soft Tissue Injury.
Kelly was reportedly street racing with two other vehicles Saturday evening (April 12th), one of which nearly struck the individual who reported it.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department spotted Kelly and attempted to pull him over.
However, he kept driving and parked in the driveway of a home in the 1300 block of North 8th Street.
The officer grabbed Kelly while he was trying to unlock the home and both stumbled backwards.
Kelly was eventually taken into custody.
There were no conditions to Kelly’s bail, and he is due back in court on May 5th in Branch 2.
