Manitowoc County residents with unused or expired medications are being advised of an upcoming drug takeback day.
Froedtert Holy Family Memorial is teaming up with Healthiest Manitowoc County, the Manitowoc County Recycling Center, and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office to make sure all medications are disposed of properly.
Residents can drop off their prescription or over-the-counter medications in the west side main entrance of the hospital at 2300 Western Avenue in Manitowoc between 9:00 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 26th.
Pills should be placed in clear, resealable bags, while ointments, sprays, inhalers, and creams should remain in their original containers.
They will not accept biohazardous materials, mercury, household waste, needles/sharps, batteries, electronics, or personal hygiene products.
