A new court date has been set for the former Assistant Fire Chief in Sheboygan Falls who has been charged with sexually assaulting a child.
45-year-old John P. Albright, who has been charged with Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, was in court in Sheboygan County on Wednesday (April 9th) for a status conference.
During that court hearing, Albright’s attorney, Brett Kaehne, stated that an interview being used as evidence was incomplete when received.
Due to the issues with the recording of the interview, both parties have agreed to reschedule the status conference for a later date.
When first announced by the Sheboygan Falls Fire Department in September, it was announced that the 45-year-old was under investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16.
However, Albright has pled not guilty.
He will be back in court for his rescheduled status conference on May 12th at 4:30 p.m.
