The man charged with waving a gun in the air before being shot in Sheboygan needs more time to review evidence, including body camera footage.
23-year-old Tommie Dixon was back in Sheboygan County Court Tuesday (April 8th) for a status conference.
Dixon’s Attorney, Ryan Dicke, reminded the court that there was a discussion about the 911 call.
Last month, Dicke said he hadn’t gotten the 911 call and still needed to talk with his client about it.
Assistant District Attorney Rosario Perez-Guerra told the court that the 911 caller would not be a witness if the case were tried.
Dicke also requested more time to review evidence and the body camera footage.
Judge Rebecca Persick set a scheduling conference for May 23rd.
Sheboygan Police shot Dixon after they were called for a person waving a gun in the air.
According to police, Dixon lunged at an officer and disarmed them, leading to gunshots being fired.
