One of the two men charged in a child sexual assault case in Manitowoc has been sentenced.
24-year-old Yexon David Gutierrez-Garcia pleaded guilty to Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, but Judge Anthony Lambrecht withheld his sentencing.
Instead, Gutierrez-Garcia was placed on probation for three years, and was ordered to spend 180 days in the Manitowoc County Jail under the Huber law with 157 days credit.
Gutierrez was arrested along with 24-year-old Ruddy A. Alaniz-Moreno in October after a minor reported having sexual contact with each of them on multiple occasions.
As a part of his probation, Gutierrez-Garcia was ordered to undergo a psychosexual evaluation, submit to random urine screens, comply with the sex offender registry, and have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Alaniz-Moreno remains in the Manitowoc County Jail after posting his $15,000 cash bond and failing to appear for a hearing.
Alaniz-Moreno’s bond was re-set at $10,000 cash, and he is due for a preliminary hearing on April 17th as he awaits a public defender.
