Manitowoc residents behaved better in March this year compared to last year.
The monthly report from the Manitowoc Police Department shows that there were 2,320 calls for service last month compared to 2,453 calls in March last year.
Adult and juvenile criminal charges are also down.
MPD explained that 100 adult criminal charges were issued in March 2025 compared to 166 in March 2024, while there were 3 juvenile criminal charges last month compared to 14 at the same time last year.
Overall, charges for adults and juveniles are also down between March 2024 and 2025.
However, there were a few more accidents in March 2025 compared to the year prior.
Manitowoc Police note that there were 84 accidents in March 2025 compared to 61 in March 2024.
There have been 263 accidents this year compared to 260 last year.
The report was presented at the city’s Police and Fire Commission meeting earlier this month.
