A successful fundraiser for Felician Village is returning for a second year.
The 2nd Annual Mrs. Roper’s Romp takes place at the Inn on Maritime Bay tomorrow (April 11th) from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
Mrs. Roper comes from the TV Show Three’s Company, where she was the landlord for Jack, Chrissy, and Janet. But she’s also a symbol of unity, joy, and camaraderie, like continuing care retirement community residents.
Felician Village Marketing Director Megan Bruckschen said on WOMT’s Be My Guest that everyone is excited for another year after the first event was so successful.
“Last year we had about 250 people attend,” she noted, “We raised about $45,000.”
The funding is for a new patio and pub space at the Gardens at Felician Village.
The patio has already been placed. Bruckschen says the community will add finishing touches to the outside before starting work inside.
“So we’re taking our Wisconsin room and kind of revamping again,” she explained. “Looking at paint, and flooring, and LED lighting, and cabinet space, and adding a bar area.”
Bruckschen says the new space allows for a better concert space and an area for their annual car show.
Tickets are still available for $20 before the event, but are $25 at the door.
They include entry to the event, appetizers, and one drink ticket.
Activities at Mrs. Roper’s Romp include raffle baskets, wine pulls, Bingo, and a 50/50 raffle.
