The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is seeking input from the public on the deer hunting season.
The DNR wants to hear from hunters in the state to help shape this year’s season, including harvest quotas, management zones, and more.
The information submitted by Wisconsinites will then be used by their respective county’s Deer Advisory Councils to develop specific recommendations to the DNR.
Those with comments, concerns, or recommendations regarding the upcoming deer hunting season are encouraged to fill out a survey that can be found online at dnr.wisconsin.gov.
Online submissions must be made no later than April 13th. There will also be opportunities to share thoughts in person across the state.
In-person County Deer Advisory Committee meetings will be held in Manitowoc County on April 21st at the Woodland Dunes Nature Center and in Sheboygan County on April 23rd at Camp Y-Koda, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.
More information and a complete list of in-person committee meetings across the state can also be found by visiting dnr.wisconsin.gov.
